What we were all fearing just happened, Tomorrowland Winter 2020 is officially cancelled due to the Coronavirus Spread.
We are witnessing a true nightmare in the EDM scene, After Ultra Abu Dhabi, Ultra Miami, today it’s Tomorrowland’s turn. And worse is probably yet to come.
Today, it is with a heavy heart that we have to inform you that the French Government has decided to cancel this year’s edition (March 14 -21).

Until today, Tomorrowland was sharing on its website that “Given the current situation, there is no reason to expect that the festival will not be able to take place”. “As long as there is no negative advice from the authorities or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not issue a negative travel advisory, the festival will be held..” said a statement on the Tomorrowland Winter website.
Since Saturday we were in close contact with the French Government about the impact of the COVID-19 virus (coronavirus) and we finally received their official decision.

Last Saturday, the French health Minister announced that all public gatherings with more than 5,000 people in confined spaces are prohibited. Since then, many events were canceled, delayed or modified. Today, the French government’s wants to avoid bringing together people from different nationalities on closed festival grounds and event locations.
The frozen chapter of the Book of Wisdom was supposed to be opening at L’Alpe d’Huez, on March 14 and construction was well underway. We will have to wait longer to see it open again.
With Ultra, Tomorrowland, and the wide impact on festivals and the electronic music scene, these days are a nightmare for all EDM fans. We all hope this situation will not last very long.
