Seth Rogen and The Lonely Island Confirm Fyre Festival Parody Film

It’s been two years since the hot mess that was Fyre Festival and we are still in awe over just how badly it went. From wire fraud to money laundering, not having enough tents, and offering the weirdest, worst food for attendees, Fyre Festival had everything… except an actual festival. Back in 2017 when it all went down, Seth Rogen & The Lonely Island joked around on Twitter that they should make a movie about it.

But now it looks like we definitely get that movie. In an interview with The Daily Beast, Lonely Island member Jorma Taccone confirmed the news:

“I don’t want to divulge all the details but we’re figuring it out right now. You’ve seen the docs, right? It’s crazy. This is something that Akiva and Seth cooked up, and we’re figuring it all out right now.”

Taccone, like countless others, is a fan of the Netflix Documentary. The internet’s favorite Andy King even called him a “Champion” for his heroic spirit for the festival. Taccone expects their take to follow the roots of their first movie Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping.
