Mastering Engineer Confirms Nero’s Album Is In Final Stages

Nero

It has been just short of a year since we have heard anything new from British trio, Nero.  In November 2013, Nero released a 28-minute atmospheric segment to their SoundCloud page accompanied by an apology to their fans that said, “Sorry to have left you in the dark for so long. The second album is coming in 2014”. Comments on the link have since been disabled. Following the release of their most recent single, “Satisfy“, 8 months ago, fans have eagerly awaited the arrival of a new album, however, were left disappointed. 2014 has long since evaded us and Nero has yet to disclose any information about their second album. That is, until now.

Stuart Hawkes, a Metropolis Studios mastering engineer based out of London, confirmed that the second album is being mastered and near completion. The new album will be the second anthology members Daniel Stephens, Joe Ray and Alana Watson have released since 2011’s Welcome Reality. The album premiered on the UK Album Chart at number 1 in August 2011. The anticipation is building as Dan, Joe and Alana prepare the album for its release date. Until then tune in to Nero’s “Satisfy Mix“, an hour long compilation of tracks that inspired their latest single, below to hold you over.
