2Say Debuts Moving First Single ‘Play For Keeps’

Listen to a beautiful track we recently came across.

We here at EDMTunes love all variations and aspects of Dance music. That includes fast-paced, powerful tracks, as much as it does slower, introspective pieces that make you feel something strong inside you. We’ve stumbled upon a composition like this, and we wanted to share it with you all. Meet 2Say.

2Say

Ten years ago, a guy named Alvin decided music was a bit more to him than only a companion to everyday life: it felt like a channel to express feelings, emotions, and tell stories. While working on tangential tasks such as video recording and supporting other DJs, he dove deep into the world of music production, aiming to learn every aspect of the craft.

Just a couple of days ago, Alvin’s very meticulous project, 2Say, finally waved “Hi” to the public. “My artist name 2Say is a reminder that I want my genuine thoughts and experiences put into lyrics (and melodies) that resonate with listeners”, he says.

“I aim to express what I’m thinking or feeling but I’m either too afraid to say it or not sure how to say it.”

‘Play For Keeps’

Alvin, who’s been inspired time and time again by artists such as deadmau5, Lane 8, Lauv, Dash Berlin, and Avicii, delivers quite the sonic adventure in the form of a Progressive House track titled ‘Play For Keeps’.

Born in April of last year, 2Say confesses the song sat undisturbed in his hard drive for months until he found the courage to share it with the world. “With the high amount of support received from friends, playlisters, and blogs such as EDMTunes, I’m more confident and eager to release my other songs in due time”, he comments.

“’Play For Keeps’ is about a troubled relationship, where both partners question their future together. But it only takes one defining action to reassure that the relationship is worth fighting for.”

With a very emotional approach, ‘Play For Keeps’ contains soft pads and basslines, paired with warm piano chords, string sections and trancey plucks to deliver a journey to the inside. The vocal, on the other hand, brings the finishing, shiny touch to an impeccable debut, which promises to be only the start of a great career.
