EddyThron Further Explores His Aloft Moniker On New Release ‘Callao & Santa Fe’

Here’s a track in which groove and Dance meet the melancholy of a long-gone past.

Starting off the year, we’ve seen a handful of artists unveil their first compositions during January, hyping up the entire season for their fans and listeners alike. John Summit already shared his remix of ‘Sweet Disposition’ alongside Silver Panda, ARTBAT and Another Life released ‘In Your Arms‘, and, just before February, rising artist EddyThron released a piece of his own repertoire.

Entering his fourteenth year involved in Dance music, EddyThron, originally a Trance producer, has brought his alternative, slower, Organic House subalias, EddyThron pres. Aloft, to complete yet another heartfelt single.

The Aloft project has had a couple of interesting months lately”, says Eddy. “After the initial ATOP set premiered in April, I came back to Argentina to play Organic House, which has seemed to resonate with the audience. In September I debuted in Merlo, a beautiful town full of amazing people, and just recently, I had a wonderful mini tour with two gigs in Buenos Aires and one in Mar del Plata”.

“Argentina will always have a special place in my heart. Its people have been watching — and launching — my career since the very beginning!”

‘Callao & Santa Fe’

On the heels of his latest journey in the Land of Tango, Eddy now released a warm, yet slightly nostalgic tribute to Buenos Aires. ‘Callao & Santa Fe’ is a track meant to forever remember that very intersection of the city in which Callao Avenue meets Santa Fe Avenue.

I always wanted to see that place from up above, and one day I met a girl who was actually residing on the fifth floor of an apartment right there”, he comments. “It was a very elegant and beautiful place, I enjoyed it every time we hung out in its halls. Until she told me she would be moving elsewhere. For the last night we would spend there, I promised myself I’d bring something special to play, as a last goodbye. This song was that goodbye. Between laughs, drinks, and a tad of sadness, we bid farewell to that unreal flat”.

Released through Madloch’s prestigious record label 3rd Avenue, the latest in the Aloft catalogue comes as part of the label’s biannual compilation, We Are The Future. The track itself is very minimalistic, and focuses its efforts on making a sad piano the star of the show. This piano, says Eddy, represents the feeling of being in that apartment for the last time. Paired with, yet not overshadowed by, groovy, dry percussion, ‘Callao & Santa Fe’ is the perfect song to reflect upon those small moments Life gives you.
