It’s a good time to be a Camelphat fan, and if you’ve listened to ‘Spiritual Milk‘, I’m sure you agree with me. I recently had the chance to check out the Grammy-nominated duo this past weekend in Los Angeles, for an extended 6-hour set. When I say that this event was everything I wanted, and more, I am not exaggerating. Camelphat had not been in Southern California since b2b weekends this spring for Coachella. Now, they were ours for a very special open-to-close set.
Unveiling ‘Spiritual Milk’: The Prelude to an Electrifying Night
Anticipation reached a crescendo as fans eagerly awaited CamelPhat‘s return to Southern California for an Open-To-Close set at the iconic Pershing Square. Adding an extra layer of excitement was their newly released album, Spiritual Milk, which promised an immersive fusion of deep house and melodic techno. With the album dropping on September 15, 2023, just a day before the event, fans were already buzzing with excitement.
A Sonic Soiree under LA’s Starlit Sky
As the event unfolded on Saturday, September 16, 2023, Pershing Square metamorphosed into a sonic haven. The duo enthralled the audience with an exclusive 6-hour-long set, delivering their signature beats and electrifying performances. The tunes of CamelPhat seamlessly blended with the urban energy of LA, creating an unforgettable night under the stars.
Over the course of six hours, the duo dropped everything from house, to techno, deep house, and even some music can’t even classify. It goes without saying that this extended set was a true masterclass in DJing. We were graced with music from their recent album, ‘Spiritual Milk’, and their debut album, ‘Dark Matter’. Additionally, they played previously released singles, as well as various remixes. My highlight of the night was Camelphat dropping ‘Cola‘, ending the night on the highest note possible.
Held at LA’s Pershing Square, the event was a magnet for electronic music enthusiasts. CamelPhat showcased their genre-defying talent, captivating the audience from what seemed like dusk till dawn. The beats reverberated through the heart of the city, leaving an indelible mark in the memories of all who attended. For all things Camelphat, be sure to check out their official website, here.
