Glastonbury Festival Urges Attendees Not To Bring Disposable Vapes

One of the United Kingdom’s largest festivals returns next week. Glastonbury Festival has established a list of “what not to bring” and disposable vapes made the list. The event is trying to develop new environmental policies that these vapes break. This of course won’t be enforced and more encouraged.

Also making this list is non-biodegradable body glitter, wipes, and excess packaging. Years back they also encouraged not using single-use tents for camping. Glastonbury is establishing a “reduce, reuse, recycle policy.” Every week, 1.3 million disposable vapes are thrown away in the UK. That’s two every second. Studies have shown this has also led to an increase in fires at recycling plants.

Glastonbury Festival will have its 51st edition next week from June 21st – 25th. Headliners include Arctic Monkeys, Guns N’ Roses, Elton John, Lizzo, and Lil Nas X. The festival is sold-out.
