Skrillex, Four Tet & Fred Again Will Close Coachella Mainstage

What a whirlwind the Coachella mainstage lineup has been this year. Although we have to say, the Coachella Weekend 2 attendees got a MAJOR upgrade over Weekend 1. After Frank Ocean’s awkward and boring closing performance last weekend, he was quickly dropped from the festival (byeeeee). Pretty quickly news broke that blink-182 would be taking over the closing slot. It turns out that was only half-true.

Today Coachella posted the Weekend 2 schedule and the final slot for the Mainstage just said “tba”. Then, news broke on Thursday night that Skrillex, Four Tet and Fred Again would close down the festival from 10:25 to midnight, with blink-182 holding it down from 9:20 to 10:20.

Needless to say, this is a massive upgrade over Weekend 1 as far as the mainstage is concerned. The trio roared onto the scene with the release of Skrillex’s albums (plural) and their pop-up shows. The trio sold out MSG with basically no notice and within hours. It makes perfect sense for Coachella to book the hottest booking in dance music right now. From Swedish House Mafia in 2022 to Pangourne House Mafia in 2023, the fans are in for a treat.

Better yet, this set will be streamed. That’s not all. This Weekend the festival will include the Yuma tent in the live-stream festivities. This will come as a relief to the techno heads who were disappointed last weekend.

Bring on Weekend 2!
