Gorgon City Drops New Hit Single ‘Roped In’ + Upcoming Festival Dates

Gorgon City – Roped In

Finally, the song we’ve been waiting for. After dropping the ID at Burning Man, Escape, and Club Space Miami, Gorgon City is finally releasing the iconic tune. ‘Roped In’ is now out on the duo’s imprint Realm Records, and features a hypnotic sound that captures its audience.

The song starts off with an angelic voice in the background, leading us to an intricate build-up. The entrancing sound goes through a roller coaster of different paces and pitches: fast and slow, and high and low. This is well executed by the long-time producers, as the spacing of the beats are placed so strategically to produce a beautiful harmony. It almost feels like the song is roping us in and out of the music with each harmonious chord. Overall, Gorgon City has created yet another psychedelic, uplifting house beat.

The veteran duo has been making massive hits since the beginning of the decade, although the last couple of years have been even more successful. Their bass-house hit ‘Motorola‘ came out in 2018, as well as their most recent album, Escape. Since then, they have been touring across the world playing at major festivals and the best clubs. With their label Realm Records, they continue to release innovative house music to their fanbase. ‘Roped In’ is no different.

Upcoming Festival Dates

If you’re dying to see them perform this new release live, fear not. Gorgon City is scheduled to play at two major festivals within the next couple of months.

In less than two weeks, they will be partying up in Fiji at Your Paradise. The festival is celebrating its 6th anniversary December 6 – 12 and features an eclectic lineup, which includes A-trak, Getter’s hip-hop alter ego Terror Reid, and drum and bass legend Noisia.

They will also be performing at Holy Ship! Wrecked next year, January 22 – 26. This will be Holy Ship’s first time anchoring on land, so you can expect a whole different experience compared to previous events. The vacation getaway has a house-heavy lineup in store, including Chris Lake, Armand Van Helden, Claude VonStroke, and Valentino Khan.
