Steve Aoki Sits Down With Joe Rogan

Joe Rogan, the comedian, and actor now podcaster had a special guest for episode 1345 of his “The Joe Rogan Experience“. Steve Aoki sat with him for a couple of hours, to discuss his new book called “Blue: The Color of Noise“.

The book, published in February of 2019 is the American DJ’s first memoir. A first-hand account of his life, struggles and success, and the lesser-known facts surrounding Aoki’s persona.

It is not a sequel to nor a replacement for the auto-biographic film Steve Aoki made ‘I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead‘ in 2015. The memoir, as he says in the interview, goes much deeper than the documentary, telling a much more emotional tale. The way one can only do with written words.

The interview greatly expanded on Aoki’s life, and through Joe Rogan’s interview, we went beyond the book itself. His relationship with cake-throwing, science fiction, stem cells, and time-traveling. Regarding his career, Aoki reminisced on the volution of Vegas shows, his new house, and Bruce Lee mirror room.

On a more serious note, they also touched upon Aoki’s philanthropic work, Asian role models, and his recent operations. After going for vocal cords surgery, he could not speak for a month. Going further back, they touched upon drugs in music and Aoki’s own experience and staying sober.
