Mourning DJ Perplex
With an impressive following of over 11,000 users on SoundCloud, the 45 -year-old DJ’s real name was Ronen Dahan. Born in France, Dahan grew up in Israel and had since resided in Scandinavia. Notably a major player in the psytrance world, Dahan’s bio from SoundCloud paints a picture of the successful DJ and producer:
“With successful electronic albums released and distributed worldwide under different aliases, several world tours, and his uncontrollable ability to keep several thousands of people dancing for hours…” The bio expanding further on his sound, “his signature sound of dirty sounds and sexy bass is getting a lot of attention, where it was kept a club-land secret.”
In effect, the psytrance DJ’s death has received much attention from the Israeli news. Furthermore, concerns regarding the return of Dahan’s body to his family in Israel have been coming to light. Israeli psytrance DJ Faders is tapping into the “psytribe family” to have Rohan’s body transported back to Israel. Rohan’s family unfortunately cannot cover the costs.
