BeatportLINK Now Integrating with Rekordbox DJ Software

Without delay, Beatport is changing the game once again. After announcing integration with Native Instruments earlier this year, a new partnership with Rekordbox has arrived. Beatport’s new streaming service BeatportLINK‘ is now integrating with Rekordbox DJ software. Beatport’s CEO, Rob McDaniels commented on the exciting collaboration:

“At present, most DJs can’t easily stream music directly into a club set-up. With our offline locker technology, laptop DJs can now store tracks offline to play without worrying about Wi-Fi. This game-changing technology will give DJs a huge selection of new tracks they can confidently take to gigs to combine with their download collections.”

BeatportLINK Integrating Key Features

BeatportLINK Integrating with Rekordbox

Accessing the entire Beatport catalog of over 6 million tracks is very enticing for DJs. Integrating this service with Rekordbox can change the way DJs manage their music libraries. Directly from the Beatport website, the possibilities are endless:

  • Mix your own collection with Beatport’s catalog, access curated selections, and create your own playlists.
  • You can stream full track previews into your DJ software. Trial and mix from the world’s biggest record shop before you buy for the club.
  • Beatport LINK PRO and Beatport LINK PRO+ introduce the world’s first offline storage for capability into DJ performance software for electronic music.
  • This long-awaited innovation makes Beatport LINK performance-ready for DJs who use a laptop, or compatible Denon hardware in the booth.
  • Beatport’s exclusive curated playlists website is designed to open up a new world of discovery for DJs at all levels of experience, with each hotly-tipped track ready to stream into performance software.

The unfortunate news broke earlier this year that Apple is phasing out iTunes. With this in mind, many DJs are unsure what the future holds for their music library management tools. BeatportLINK integrating with Rekordbox could be the answer. Many rely on managing libraries of mp3s through iTunes where libraries are linked to DJ software such as Serato or Traktor. Perhaps the offline use of streaming services will be the preferred means of DJing in the future.
