It has almost been 10 months since Avicii passed. Since then, artists and fans have done countless tributes for the beloved swede. It’s truly heartwarming to hear about the powerful impact that he has had on our lives.
It was no secret that Tim had already completed an entire album’s worth of music before his death. It was just a question of whether or not the music would ever surface. Back in October, everyone was ecstatic when a snippet of the song ‘Change a Thang‘ was leaked. The song was done with none other than Mike Posner who was known to have a close relationship with him. Although the clip was only 17 seconds long, the melody from ‘Forever Yours‘ (Avicci by Avicci) is easily heard. Now just a short while after a final studio version of ‘Heaven‘ was leaked, we are seeing a completely new leak.
Fortunately, the wait is over as the track has seen the light of day. Just like all of Avicii’s other songs, ‘Change a Thang’ is nothing short of a masterpiece. From Mike Posner’s soothing voice to the beautifully crafted melody, the song will have you smiling from start to finish. The lyrics also fall perfectly in place with the overall vibe of the song. If the song didn’t scream classic Avicii enough, you will be hit with nostalgia when you hear a part of ‘Silhouettes’ thrown in there.
