German Techno superstar Paul Kalkbrenner is a man of many talents. Gifted producer, songwriter, and even actor. His latest project, Parts of Life, seems to have Paul reflecting on his storied career and upbringing in the Techno capital of the world. Today, Paul delivers another installment off the album, Part Eight.
Part Eight harkens back to the days of early electronica in the 80s, combining the more atmospheric stylings of the era with Paul’s unique production style. It’s upbeat and ever-sentimental about the past without falling into the pitfalls of nostalgia cliches.
Along with the track comes an interesting music video of Paul performing solo atop legendary club and new home of Tresor, Kraftwerk in Berlin. The video showcases Paul’s live set up that he has toured throughout the world for the past few years.
