Total Ape – Young Gods
Swedish beatmaking duo Total Ape (consisting of Pär Almkvist and August Vinberg) has released a new track titled ‘Young Gods’. This is their major label debut, as it comes to us via Warner Bros Records. ‘Young Gods’ is jam-packed with energy and is a very gratifying banger that will thrill trap and bass enthusiasts alike.
“Money is my mother, power is my father, fall down on your knees when you see me walk on water.” – repeats the chorus sung by a children’s choir. “From the start, we wanted to do a song with a kids’ choir, but singing from a gangster rapper’s perspective,” grins Pär. “You can easily picture a god or an emperor spouting those lines. It’s a concept we loved from the beginning.”
