Lineup releases are becoming so cliche at this point, aren’t they? At some point, a little drip of information leaks out and teasers pop up before a wall of names appears online. Some festivals have shifted to announcing artists daily or through video announcements, but Insomniac has an even more wacky idea. Yesterday the Electric Daisy Carnival Facebook page posted a cryptic image with a strange hieroglyphic message, which is translated below.
The message translates to “Join Us Under The Electric Sky”. Rumors had already been floating that the official EDCÂ lineup would drop on May 6th, and at exactly midnight, it happened. The catch is that the entire lineup is written in this “owlphabet” of hieroglyphics. That’s what the internet is for though, right? Check it out and help us decipher the surely epic lineup. Thus far some of the decoded names are Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, Aly & Fila, Avicii, Bassnectar, Dannic, Dash Berlin, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Galantis, Kayzo, Lookas, Moby, Ookay, Tommy Trash, Zomboy and much much more.
