BURNS – When I’m Around U (Original Mix)
After being absent from SoundCloud for the last year or so, only releasing a remix of Calvin Harris‘ ‘Blame‘ in 2014, BURNS is slowly easing back with new solo efforts, like ‘In The Back,‘ and now ‘When I’m Around U,’ a track with strong and clean beats that strategically build after suggestive lyrics like “you make my temperature rise.” Matthew gives the vocalist what he wants, speeding up the beats to major drops infused with bursts of acid. ‘When I’m Around U’ is similar to its predecessor in that they both come down from their drops hard, and resume steady vocals before gradually taking it back to the top. The track is made to rouse the crowd (including Gordon Ramsay), while at the same time, not overwhelm them with punchy beats.
BURNS has been burning up the live scene, warming up Calvin Harris fans at his weekly gigs in Las Vegas at venues owned by the Hakkasan Group. He’s scheduled to continue opening for Harris through September, and is set to play Glasgow Summer Sessions in August.
