GRiZ – Funk Party
GRiZ has dome some tremendous work, recognized early by Pretty Lights and Bassnectar. GRiZ, along with artists like Gramatik & Big Gigantic, have redefined the EDM map, giving electro soul a home and making it a force to be reckoned with. His new track, “Funk Party” is no exception. With the slow, funky build, the track pulls into some slick electro grooves that are a hallmark of that wonderful posse of people who make me want to move to CO just so I can go to Red Rocks more than once a year. This kind of vibe is tremendous and it may not be possible without his label All Good Records, so give it up for the star from Detroit and get more info on his new Bundle being released on BitTorrent here. I’m really liking this trend of albums being available on BitTorrent, especially after Spor was rewarded for it so excellently last month. Show the release some love and thank GRiZ for treating us like adults and letting us pay what we want for the album.
