Barcelona based producer Maceo Plex has quickly been making a name for himself in the darker genres of dance music. With the success of his recently released Conjure One EP, it’s no surprise that he’s been booked to play enormous music festivals, such as Ultra and Coachella. Maceo Plex strays away from the common house sound that tops the charts today, opting instead for a more edgier, deep tech sound that is fully captivating and extremely refreshing. Earlier today, he released a new remix of GusGus’s Crossfade, which completely exhibits all of these characteristics. With a groovy tech build, the song levels into a smooth deep bassline that is hypnotic upon first ear contact. Maceo Plex’s remix is set to be released on Kompakt and can be bought on Beatport here.
