Newcastle producer Pattn has timed the launch of his new label Repetitive Nature to the Autumn Equinox, releasing debut single ‘Look Into It‘ on Wednesday, September 23. The date isn’t incidental — it’s the first of what Pattn says will be a release calendar built around celestial events, part of a broader concept tying the label’s output to natural cycles and visual patterns found in the environment.
The label launch arrives just ahead of a room 3 takeover at London’s fabric on October 3, giving Pattn a proper platform to introduce Repetitive Nature to a club audience shortly after the digital rollout.
Speaking on the timing of the release, Pattn explained the thinking behind pairing the equinox with the label’s first outing. “The release date ties directly into the Autumn Equinox, which is the one point in the year where day and night are in balance,” he said. “This date symbolises a natural point of balance as a moment to stop and reflect, or to ‘Look Into It.’“
A Label Built Around Ritual
Rather than treating Repetitive Nature as a standard imprint for one-off drops, Pattn is positioning it as a slower, more deliberate project — one where the visual identity and release schedule carry as much weight as the tracks themselves. According to the label, several ideas will run through its ongoing narrative, including the hidden geometry found in nature reflected in its artwork, the notion of release as ritual, and the relationship between audio and visuals.
The label is also expected to serve as a space where Pattn can connect his interests across music, technology and nature, rather than functioning purely as a release outlet for his own productions.
‘Look Into It’ marks the first tangible step in that direction, giving listeners an early sense of the sound and mood Pattn plans to build the label around before the fabric showcase puts it in front of a live crowd.
