Sultan + Shepard are back with yet another soulful, melodic tune. This time a remix of Above&Beyond’s sultry trance track, ‘Quicksand.’ A standout track of Above & Beyond’s 2025 rollouts has been reimagined with the duo’s signature melodic house touch by breathing new life into the ethereal vocal and giving it a punchy, club ready edge.
Sultan + Shepard have been on a tear lately. They’ve become well known for their lush, progressive sound that somehow bridges the underground to the mainstage. Their remix of ‘Quicksand’ is no exception. By layering warmth synths over a driving groove and rolling bassline under Above & Beyond’s graceful melodies, they’ve created a version that feels both nostalgic, forward looking and hopeful. It’s a reminder of why the Canadian duo remain some of the most respected producers in the dance music underground today.
Sultan + Shepard are currently out on their ‘Communicate’ tour, bringing their signature melodic grooves to venues across the United States and ending in South Africa. Their upcoming stops include Chicago, Detroit, Dallas, Sacramento and more, with a notable set alongside Above & Beyond at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre in Colorado. The tour dovetails neatly with their latest releases, including the ‘Communicate’ EP, giving fans a chance to experience the new material live in a club-style environment. Already, audiences have praised the energy and emotional arc of their sets, commending how the duo balances dancefloor momentum with cinematic soundscapes.
