Hardwell & Nicky Romero Team Up for ‘I Wanna Dance’

After nearly 13 years since their last collaboration, EDM giants Hardwell and Nicky Romero have teamed up once again for ‘I Wanna Dance‘. Out now on Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings, the track has been a staple of both artist’s sets recently and is most certainly a crowd-pleaser.

With Hardwell’s recent foray into the Techno scene, the DJ from Breda has been making headlines bringing a gritty darker feel to the mainstage. This also coincides with Nicky Romero’s recent journey into a harder sound, a far cry from his classic light-hearted melodies.

Featuring vocalist Meryll, ‘I Wanna Dance’ marks twelve and a half years since the last collaboration between the Dutch pair, titled ‘Beta‘. This milestone track serves as a reminder of the cyclical journeys both Hardwell and Nicky Romero have been on, becoming amazing artists in their own right. This release also marks the combination of both Revealed Recordings and Nicky Romero’s Protocol Recordings, two of the industry’s biggest labels.

Set to release at the start of Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), ‘I Wanna Dance’ serves as the perfect track to usher in a new era of dominance for Hardwell, who has released an astonishing 15 singles this year alone. Ranging from historic collaborations with Space 92 to remixes of classic tracks such as his ‘Satisfaction‘ rework with Maddix.

Nicky Romero has also been quite busy, moulding his current style into something unbelievable. Having worked with artists such as Avicii, Calvin Harris, and David Guetta, the 34-year-old has opted for a sound reminiscent of his earlier sound, as present in ‘Beta’. His Monocule alias has also been met with extreme success, experimenting with a more underground atmosphere.
