Elderbrook’s track ‘Tied To You‘ got a Yotto makeover today. The soulful rendition takes on a soundscape of an even deeper, progressive house. With a great song comes a great remix, where you hear our beloved Finnish producer’s signature sound. What’s more, you perfectly hear that Odd One Out rhythm and melody. It progresses beautifully in your ears and is worthy of the dance floor. If Yotto pulls this out on stage, it will be a great follow-up to his Something Good ‘Rhythm of the Night’.
The mixture of instrumentals in the background layer with the original track well. It exudes emotion, a chill atmosphere, and washes joy over you. As Elderbrook rises to greater heights this year, it’s great to see Yotto on his side. Alexander Kotz hails from London. His musical career started in 2015, where he collaborated with numerous stalwarts of the industry soon after. Those include Gorgon City, Clean Bandit, and his claim to fame, ‘Cola’ with Camelphat. Since then, his songs chart in both the US and the United Kingdom.
With his start as a member of an indie band, he gets his background in his soulful sound with his distinct vocals. After being exposed to electronic music in college, he began his pursuit under Elderbrook. His first major inroads in the industry came with his Andhim collaboration. Now, he has a plethora of releases under his belt, has recently played Coachella, and released his second album titled Little Love earlier this year.
“It became clear that the overarching theme was about the messages I’d want to share with my children as they grow older. We all lived through such a bizarre and difficult few years during the pandemic but I was given the greatest gift and biggest responsibility of all in that time, and it seemed only fitting that my second album be a dedication to that, to them, my little loves.”
