Donna Lewis, Nora En Pure – I Love You Always Forever (Nora’s Version)

Nora En Pure just resurrected Donna Lewis’ iconic 90s track ‘I Love You Always Forever‘. Nora’s version incorporates her signature deep house sound with a wave of energy. Welsh singer Donna debuted this single in 1996. It also became the album’s lead single in the United States and the UK at that time too. What’s more, the song became a commercial hit and a vibe of 90s music. Topping the charts of more than 15 countries, it even made it to Billboard’s Top 40 Mainstream and Adult charts. Lewis’ brilliant vocals lend a lot of atmosphere to the track.

Nora is here to take it to another level. Reviving oldies music is something that electronic artists are doing more of. And I think we are here for it. Grum remixed ‘Shout’, Kaskade remixed Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Dreams’ which I adore, and a variety of other samplings have been used in various electronic tracks. This is not the first or second recording of this track, as others have been done by Betty Who, Jukebox the Ghost, and Marion Aunor. However, it is electronica’s turn.

This track played on Purified Radio Episode 347, bringing lighthearted auras and nostalgia to listeners. It is a perfect song for Nora to revamp. The track exudes sunny atmosphere as you sing along in your head. You know the lyrics to the chorus. “I love you always and forever. Near and far, closer to together. Everywhere, I will be with you. Everything, I will do for you”. You may find yourself hitting repeat, millennials! Each listen garners more swaying and grooving of the body. Towards the end, it fades away into the signature ambient sounds of Nora.

Catch the brilliant Queen of Deep House in North America for the next three weeks on tour with a stop at Electric Zoo. After Europe, she’s also in San Francisco at the end of the year for The Midway Block Party. Listen to Nora’s version below!
