If you haven’t heard of Azzecca yet, she’s one name that you need to have on your radar. The Chicago talent is all the craze at the moment as she’s buzzing off of her latest Brooklyn Mirage show and All Night Long show at Halcyon San Francisco, She’s also a major player in the festival circuit this year with appearances at Hard Summer, Electric Forest, Splash, Sziget Festival, and EDC. She’s on fire lately at her shows and is cooking just as much heat in the studio. Her latest offering comes on Adam Ten’s Maccabi House imprint in the form of a two tracker EP ‘Encounter‘.
‘Aerial Phenomenon’ is an otherworldly heater that plays into a UFO dialogue that is cheeky but all business when combined with warping synths, melodic techno chords, and head thumping percussion. The track has been getting massive crowd reactions over the past year. ‘Ascent’ continues the alien-space vibes that has also received much acclaim at live shows. Much slower than the first track, but as much of a mind chugging slow burner that puts crowds into a trance as they dance through the intergalactic synths and pounding beat progression.
