Brazilian icon Vintage Culture just release a new song called ‘Rock the Casbah‘. This record was highly anticipated, mainly because it features the original iconic vocal hook from The Clash‘s hit song of the same name. The new track from the producer is officially part of Gorgon’s City label’s catalog, Realm Records.
This new spin by Vintage Culture on the 80s hit really brings a fresh take on the track, as we see more and more producers do these days. ‘Rock the Casbah’ has already become a major highlight of Vintage Culture’s set as he begins his worldwide tour of 2023. In fact, the DJ played the track at both of his Coachella performances and wowed the crowd each time. In a statement regarding the new release, the producer said :
“The Clash’s ‘Rock the Casbah’ is one of those songs that never loses its punch. The Clash is a timeless rock band that has influenced generations of musicians. I wanted to pay homage to the original while also bringing my own sound to the track. I’m proud of the final results and I hope fans will love it as much as I do.”
As mentioned before, Vintage Culture is beginning his worldwide tour for the year. Last week, the man announced that he would renew his residency at Hi Ibiza with FISHER. The Brazilian DJ will perform every Wednesday in the Club Room for a second year in a row, starting June 7. It’s safe to say things are going well for him.
