FINALLY! Ever since Ultra Music Festival gifted us with Resistance Island in 2019, fans have been clamoring for Resistance to do more of its own separate events in Miami. While Resistance got its start at Buenos Aires in 2015, the brand has came into its own in Miami and grew into its own international event, launching outposts wherever Ultra goes and more. Resistance touched down in Ibiza for Summer residencies prior to the pandemic. Now, finally Resistance is ready to bring a club residency to its home in Miami.
Resistance Miami is launching a residency in 2023 at the brand-new M2 club in South Beach. If you don’t know M2, it’s the venerated Mansion reborn. It’s a 35,000 sq ft venue that is undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation to become M2. M2 is actually a new outpost for a club that began in New York City in the 2000s.
In fact, the people behind Ultra’s mainstage and Megastructure designs will be helping to design the lighting and screen setup at M2 as well. Expect a bleeding-edge centerpiece lighting system that can compete with anything in Vegas or Resistance Ibiza, along with the best techno lineups in the business.
