Lightning In A Bottle 2022 Playlist Out Now

When you’re gearing up for a festival it is good to find the playlist for it and hit ‘Shuffle’. Sure—you’ve got your headliners, and your favorites… but you might be surprised who you might come across on a shuffled playlist while you are folding your laundry. Listening to a good festival mix the week before you don your rompers and party shirts can be just the ticket. It will give you the inside scoop of which performers you want to be there for when the time comes.

This year, Lightning in a Bottle has released their official preview playlist on Spotify. The playlist features 168 hand selected songs and spans 10 hours and 54 minutes. The folks at Do LaB have done the hard work for us. Now, we can get a proper sampler platter of new ear juice before the festival begins. The playlist is available on Spotify here.

I recommend listening and when a song hooks you in, take a look and give it a like. That way you’ll know whats up before you get there.

One of the coolest things about Do LaB is that they are a little out there, and a little ‘ahead’ of the wave. At Coachella, they are given more space for their tent every year (so they might be on to something). Here are some lesser known names worth giving a second look this year.

CloZee

The French female phenom has a huge cult following, and those that know her love her. She is not a far cry from the Polish Ambassador in that she integrates tribal and global sounds into her sets. There are touches of Nora En Pure in her energy as well, a kind of feminine nod to the sounds of nature that cultivate a dance vibe that’s incredibly connected to the Earth and Mother Nature. Her lives sets are always different as she plays to the crowd in front of her, as a good music curator does.

Monolink

This dude has an album Under Darkening Skies that is nearly perfect in its style, balance, and execution. There is a feeling of being in a melodic spy movie, but make it dance. It’s got a great journey to it, and I’m certain that his set will be one that you don’t want to miss this year. The authors at EDM tunes all agreed, it’s bangin’.

Kaytranada

This dude has got some dancey R&B chops. When I saw him last in San Diego, he integrated samples of old Janet Jackson live into his contemporary progressive style. He has songs with Grammy winner H.E.R., The Internet, and Andersaan Paak. His ability to blend EDM and Hip Hop seamlessly plays out for a fun fun time.

LIB is right around the corner set in beautiful Buena Vista Lake, CA on Memorial Day Weekend. See y’all there and happy listening!
