BUKU Cancelled After Initial Plans to Postpone

As the coronavirus pandemic continues, festival organisers are scrambling to find the best solutions for fans. Obviously, postponements are the more optimistic option, but sometimes it might simply not be realistic. Organisers of BUKU Music + Art Project evidently felt the same, as they initially rescheduled the event from March 20 to 21 to Labor Day Weekend. However, earlier today, fans were given a bleak update that even that won’t be happening. “It just doesn’t feel right to plan a music festival for later this year and put everyone involved through more uncertainty.

According to the statement, ticket holders will be receiving an email with an option for receiving a full refund or transferring the pass to next year’s edition, scheduled for March 19 to 20. While some fans are undoubtedly disappointed, most are also understanding and commend organisers for the responsible decision.

BUKU 2020 had invited the likes of Flume, Alison Wonderland, Zeds Dead, Subtronics, ILLENIUM, Chris Lake, i_o, among others. Other non-electronic music acts also included Tyler, the Creator, Glass Animals, Taking Back Sunday, and Charli XCX.
