Ever wonder why Spotify isn’t more integrated with social media? Well, a new feature may be changing that. TechCrunch is reporting an exciting new feature called Tastebuds. Notably, this feature will be changing the way you and your friends discover and experience music.

At the moment, we only have a glimpse of the interface. Currently, seen above is what is listed under the web-version of the site. While the feature was first discovered by prominent app researcher Jane Manchun Wong, it is not entirely clear how it will function. In fact, Wong initially found the prototype on the web version of Spotify through reverse-engineering.

While the site only shares “What’s Tastebuds? Now you can discover music through friends whose taste you trust.”, it seems like this feature will drastically influence the way you share and discover music on the app. Stay tuned for more updates regarding Tastebuds!
