Don’t Miss These Artists at ALL MY FRIENDS DTLA Music Festival 2019

With a few days away, Downtown Los Angeles will come to life for All My Friends music festival, October 19-20. Taking place at Skylight ROW DTLA, AMF will become immersed in the industrial backdrop of Los Angeles’ urban playground. Founded by Gary Richards aka Destructo, AMF will feature a lineup of some of the most respected house artists from around the world.

There will be two-stages reflecting last year’s popular ‘Friendzone’ mainstage and a secret speakeasy-style third stage. This year’s artists include a focus on the international house scene, a rarity that can be found at AMF DTLA. Tickets are reaching a 90% sold-out status, so if you haven’t copped them yet–NOW is the time! Headliners will include Justice, Black Coffee, Idris Elba, DJ Harvey, Diplo B2B MK, Gene Farris, and more. Each artist also shares an ALL MY FRIENDS connection to Destructo, hence the clever name. Justice and Busy P have played Destructo’s events since 2007, Sita Abellan and Phlegmatic Dogs first toured the U.S. supporting Destructo, and Volac and Dillon Nathaniel have both remixed Destructo tracks. Let’s take an in-depth look at some of the top artists you won’t want to miss from around the world.

Justice and Busy P

Hailing from France, Justice and Busy P are two well-known names that you’ve seen plastered on lineups with Destructo from back in the day during the huge electro house movement from 2004-2010. Busy P, aka Pedro Winter, is the founder and manager of Ed Banger records, which also includes Justice. Winter also managed Daft Punk from 1996 to 2008 to give you an idea of his notable presence in the electronic music scene. In 2007, the French duo, Justice, debuted their pioneering album, Cross, that was the catalyst in their rise to fame. Justice’s hit songs include ‘D.A.N.C.E’ and ‘We Are Your Friends,’ two pioneering songs that we can reminisce to the golden era of French electro house. “Because we are your friends, you’ll never be alone again” at All My Friends music festival–very clever, Gary Richards.

Idris Elba

Some of you might know Idris Elba as an actor who’s starred in movies like Thor: Ragnarok, Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and more. However, Idris Elba is Britain’s finest house DJ who began his career as a DJ long before big-screen fame. Idris’ style of house music will cater to fiends of bass and deep, groovy vibes. He’s also established yearly residencies at top Ibiza party destinations like Pacha and Pikes. Aside from his appearances at notorious European venues and acting, Idris also finds time to produce and rap at the same time. AMF will be Idris’ first appearance since his blazing Coachella set this past April. Idris will perform AMF DLTA on Saturday, October 19th. Take a listen to Idris Elba’s music below.

Diplo B2B MK

Upon initial release of AMF’s lineup, Diplo was revealed as the secret artist that is set to b2b alongside MK (Marc Kinchen). This hot pairing is likely to feature a deep house set, following Diplo’s recently launched house imprint and EP, Higher Ground, featuring a recently released track from Walker & Royce and VNSSA. “House is where it all came from. Everything we know and love as dance music today started with the masters in Chicago & Detroit almost forty years ago,” Diplo says. This dynamic duo will marry the fresh sounds of Diplo’s Higher Ground and MK’s reborn Area10 labels together, creating a unique set that can only be caught at All My Friends Music Festival.

Other Artists From Around The World: Black Coffee, DJ Harvey, Gene Farris and More

When Gary Richards says ‘All My Friends,’ he really means ALL his friends, from around the world. From South Africa, Black Coffee will be gracing the stage with his tribal sophistication, spiritual splendor, and scintillating performance straight from his high-profile Ibiza residency. With over 11 million views on YouTube, you can check out Black Coffee’s Cercle set at Salle Wagram in Paris, here. AMF will also feature international artists like DJ Harvey (U.K.), Blond:ish (Canada) and Kaz James (Australia). Night Bass fans will be in for a treat with Volac, Phlegmatic Dogs, Dillon Nathaniel, and Shift K3Y. The amazing list of house acts do not stop here, We’ve also got Gene Farris, Wongo, Biscits, Matroda, Bruno Furlan, and so many more.
