Continuing Yotto‘s already massive year, the producer is now adding to his Odd One Out label’s output with ‘Nova‘. After two weeks of running a record label I can safely say I’m already reaching the skillset of Berry Gordy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The second instalment from Odd One Out continues in the galactic zoo theme, originally this piece was titled ‘Ass Horn Track’. Title did not test well with my focus group of elderly Finnish ladies so I switched it to ‘Nova’. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I like it, hope you do too Out Aug 20, pre-order now via the link in my bio 🐝
‘Nova’ lives up to its name as it moves through contracting levels of explosive and shimmering synths. It owns a deep and bouncy menacing sound at times contrast to the brighter sounds which appear throughout. The percussive and moving track is surely to get you dancing, and Yotto’s road tests certainly portray that. The producer has been playing it out to crowds, and you can hear it in his B2B with Jeremy Olander at Anjunadeep Open Air London.
You can catch Yotto as he kicks off touring into full swing starting mid September. For tickets and tour dates, refer to his website in the link here.
