This Look Inside Eric Prydz’ Holosphere Will Blow Your Mind

We are merely 2 weeks away from Tomorrowland’s 15th Anniversary, but that’s not even the best part. On both weekends the world will be WOWed by the debut of Eric Prydz’ EPIC 6.0 Holosphere spectacular. As the show nears, The Verge took an inside look at this mind-boggling production and got us even more excited than we were before.

Holosphere has been in the works for 2 years, and will feature an 8meter wide sphere that Eric will stand inside. The sphere is so large that Tomorrowland had to raise the ceiling on the Freedom Stage substantially to fit everything.

What’s notable about this iteration of EPIC is that it actually does away with the holograms over the crowd that we have come to love. In reality, these were merely 2D projections that lacked depth. Instead, we will get this massive sphere that is semi-transparent and covered in LEDs that will display objects in 3D.

All in all the show sounds like it will be incredible, and now we know the sets will be 2 hours. You can read all about the technical details and get hyped over at the feature here.
