BREAKING: Columbia Records Adds Swedish House Mafia to its Artist Roster

If there’s any group that knows how to build hype around themselves, it’s the Swedish House Mafia. After their reunion at Ultra Music Festival 2018, the group is continually dropping hints about new shows and music. And this time it’s news of getting signed to a record label. As of today, the Columbia Records will be representing the Swedish House Mafia.

The signing occurred after “a tense bidding war with Universal Music Group‘s Republic Records“. Sources also claim that the deal with Columbia was for “‘significantly less'” than the Republic Records offer. So what exactly did SHM get out of this deal? Apparently something worth a large sum of money that Republic couldn’t offer.

It’s only a matter of time before we see how this agreement turns out. With a new label behind them, a genius marketing strategy that continues to escalate, and some of the biggest hype that has ever been built, we know Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell, and Steve Angello have quite the show for us. We’ll see you on the dance floor!
