If the trio weren’t, they wouldn’t be as highly sought after and if there was ever a weak link in the group, they wouldn’t be what they are today. As if we needed any reminder, Axwell showcases exactly what he is capable of in an epic 5-minute mini mix on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show. You might miss it if you breathe, but Axwell has packed his ‘Back To House’ mix with 22 astounding tracks, some of which include brand new, unreleased music.
Fresh, hot, and coming soon from his own record label, Axtone, ‘Back to House’ features a number of new material. Most notably, the mix includes ‘Fuego’ by Eddie Thoneick, ‘According To Me” by D.O.D., and ‘Zhong’ from Chocolate Puma and Carta. If any of these sounds familiar, ‘According To Me’ has been garnering a lot of run time recently on a variety of radio shows and podcast. With that said, it is anticipated to be Axtone’s next big release. Meanwhile, ‘Zhong’ also gives us a lot to look forward to as Axwell has also announced that Chocolate Puma will be returning to Axtone with a full house record.
With only a few seconds dedicated to each track, it’s hard to decipher where each new release will take us. Regardless, this mini mix sends us into a perfect state of nostalgia for old tracks while offering the ultimate sneak peak for what is to come!
