About a month ago trance king Gareth Emery graced us with “Take Everything”. Featuring Emma Hewitt’s legendary vocals coupled with a euphoric build up & break, ‘Take Everything’ ushers the listener towards an overwhelming feeling of both joy and loss. While the lyrics describe having your world taken away the melody is blissful and passionate, and heart-wrenching.
You’d think a song as near to perfection as this wouldn’t garner a remix. You would think not a chance but Standerwick never fails to impress. The Bristol-born musician has achieved an impressive amount of success in the world of electronic dance music in recent memory.
Most notably through his collaboration with Gareth Emery & Haliene – “Saving Light”. And he absolutely nails it with this remix. It still retains the emotion of Emma’s Vocals & the euphoric feel-good vibe of the original but with Standerwick’s signature trance melodies & drums so masterfully meshed together. He takes this track to a whole new dimension. And I dare say this may even be better than the original.
