Australia’s Newest Festival, FestivalX, Has Been Cancelled

Australia’s new EDM festival, FestivalX, has been canceled today, just a month and a half after it was first announced.

The festival was supposed to be a collaboration between international giant LiveNation and Hardware and Onelove. With Hardware and Onelove being the two creators behind Australia’s retired EDM festival, Stereosonic, fans had high hopes for FestivalX.

FestivalX was supposed to kick off in Auckland and Brisbane on November 29th and 30th before moving on to Sydney and Melbourne on December 1st and 2nd.

However, as FestivalX announced on its Facebook page today, the festival has been canceled “due to unforeseen last-minute changes in artist availability.”

This cancellation should come without too much backlash since tickets had not been released yet and no lineups were announced.

Organizers are asking fans to stay tuned to their website and Facebook page for future plans. Hopefully they can bring a festival to Australia soon to fill the gap that was left by Stereosonic’s termination.
