When Justin Jay released his latest album Home in late 2017, he took his fans on a musical journey that fully encapsulated his all worldly talent level and musicianship. Now, just about a year after that release, Jay has returned with a full slate of Home Remixes for your listening pleasure.
Among those featured on the 12-track remix album, Walker & Royce’s remix of ‘Time’ is probably the most highly anticipated, as it’s frequently been getting rinsed by several artists at Dirtybird events and elsewhere for the better part of the year. Also making appearances are familiar names Christian Martin, Will Clarke and several of his Fantastic Voyage collaborators and bandmates Benny Bridges, Sam Von Horn and Danny G.
While the original version of the album displayed what makes Justin Jay so special as an all around artist, these 12 remixes are mostly representative of the sound Justin Jay curates for his tech-house sets. Additionally, Dirtybird is a tight knit crew, and does a great job of bringing along up-and-coming and unheard of talent. Besides giving Jay himself a fresh arsenal of material to work with in his sets, we’ll surely be hearing more music from the lesser known artists he featured on the album in the near future.
