Lost Lands Music Festival has found itself in the midst of a media storm following the announcement of two confirmed deaths. Ger Vang, 24, of Hickory, North Carolina and Mario Symborski, 31, of Pontiac, Michigan were both pronounced dead at Licking Memorial Hospital after attending the bass-heavy festival.

Mike Eidson, a close friend of Mario Symborski’s, has set up a Go Fund Me Page to help raise money for the funeral proceedings, and to help Mario’s wife with her emotional distress that she has experienced following his sudden passing.

Mike writes:

“Well as many of you may know Mario passed away on September 15th at lost lands music festival this deeply saddens me and hits hard I’ve known Mario since him and his wife met and can’t believe he’s gone he was a great guy and great husband to Brooke so I’m making this to help her out with costs of the funeral and for her emotional distress. Anything will help please”.

Lost Lands Music Festival issued the following statement on Monday:

“Today we send our deepest thoughts and condolences to the loved ones of two male attendees who passed away after being transported to local hospitals this weekend. While the causes of these tragedies are still unknown, our hearts are with their families and friends at this time. Our medical facilities are available twenty-four hours a day, free of charge, with the best emergency room doctors, EMTs and roaming paramedics in the country.
