i_o – Not Techno

When i_o isn’t busy creating underground warehouse beats or hacking a computer system, he’s having fun with the EDM Twitter trolls. In his latest track ‘Not Techno’, i_o may or may not have taken a little jab at the criticism he receives online for “not being techno.” In an interview with Dancing Astronaut, i_o says ‘Not Techno’

“…is a mission statement for the kids who love going to underground parties. It’s a return to the sweaty, grimey, dark warehouses that dance music was made for.”

The track features some catchy lyrics that are sure to get stuck in your head this weekend. They lead into dark, acidic techno with a progressive twist. While i_o is relatively new to the scene, he has been making waves in 2018. He now has two EPs on mau5trap under his belt while also garnering support from the likes of Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren and many loyal fans. It seems like this is just the start of hacker/producer/techno aficionado: i_o.
