seven lionsSeven Lions – The Observatory Episode 2

Seven Lions just released The Observatory Episode 2. This is a two-hour mix that exemplifies the diversity he brings to the table for every show. The set is a sequel to Episode 1 and a segue to The Chronicles show which will debut on May 12th in Seattle.

The melodic dubstep master takes tracks from his ‘Observatory’ Spotify playlist and perfectly mixes them into a euphoric, uplifting journey. He touches on almost every genre. The Observatory playlist comprises of handpicked songs that has been played on tour. Some deeper cuts you may not hear in a festival setting are intertwined for an extra kick.

“Just like the Observatory Spotify playlist, this series allows me to highlight tracks I wouldn’t normally play in my live sets”, Seven Lions states about this series. Here he explores the different sides of his tastes and influences.

Episode 2 showcases artists that range from appearance on his tracks. From the melodic MitiS and trance legends Above and Beyond to the heavier artists such as Feed Me and American psytrance producers Dimibo, this mix has it all. It is more than just an emotional mix, it’s an emotional roller coaster.

The Santa Barbara native gives fans an intimate view into this collection with some of his favorite pieces from his own productions as well as others. This series holds special significance for Seven Lions fans because the artist rarely records live sets or shares his mixes. Thus, he will be playing two sets at each Chronicles chapter. One will be an Observatory set, the other is his harder hitting regular set.

Take the time and stream the two hours below. Let this work of art take you on a journey. We know you need the tracks so here’s the list!
