Makk Set to Release First Solo EP Midlife Dreams Early May
In the world of Electronic Dance Music, many talented producers spend countless hours in the studio, for 99% to never make it. It’s a treat to get sent submissions from across the world and to listen to certain artists you may have never got the chance to.
Makk hails from Germany, formerly playing guitar in the German pop band Polarkreis 18 which topped the German and Danish charts back in 2008. Philip Makolies has strayed away from the typical band, diving head first into Electronic Music. For ‘Midlife Dreams’, Makk dusted off his old collection of classic synths such as Yamaha VSS-30, Tiracon 6V and Solina String Ensemble. The title is perfect for the mood you get when listening to the EP, a chilled out vibe where you could be driving along the Inter-coastal on a beautiful Summer Night.
The first release ‘On and On’ could be the backdrop for a teen romance movie, with an 80s type feel that sucks you in, and instantly putting you in a good mood. Makk has a tremendous set of musical talent, and it’s really showcased on ‘Midlife Dreams’.
