Kaskade & Lokii Ft. Phoebe Ryan – Almost Back
It’s always a good day when Kaskade releases a new track. Today was no different. Friday, April 27th marked a good day for the music world as numerous tracks were released from some of dance music’s biggest artists. Kaskade had previously released ‘Cold As Stone’ feat. Charlotte Lawrence just in time for UMF, and followed it up today with his collaboration alongside LöKii titled ‘Almost Back‘, featuring Phoebe Ryan on the vocals.
The new single explores the emotions of moving on from a past relationship, and succeeding in part, only to get pulled back in. Though the theme of the song seems a bit melancholic, the track is anything but that. With Kaskade and LöKii flexing their production skills, they manage to take away from the gloomy message. They instead inject the tune with some bouncy, warm, happy-go-lucky vibes. The tune features a nice poppy drum beat, and some beautiful DJ Snake-esque vocal chops on the drop.
