You Can Now Buy Cannabis At Chalice Festival

Chalice Music Festival

“The times they are a changin,” Bob Dylan famously said in his 1964 track. Fast forward 54 years and the times really are changing when it comes to cannabis. Chalice Festival is set to take place July 13th through 15th at the San Bernadino County Fairgrounds in Victorville, California. The festival celebrates music, art, and marijuana, which seemingly go hand in hand. So far, artists such as Bassnectar, Ludacris, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and more have been announced, and it looks like it’s going to be a fun and laid back music festival.

Chalice Festival has announced via a press release, “On-site product vendors will be on hand to take advantage of the post-prohibition reality that legally mashes up recreational cannabis products with the large-scale music festival concept.” Anyone over the age of 21 may engage in the recreational use. In years past, you could only participate if you had a medical card. This is the first festival to allow recreational use, and many believe Coachella could be right behind.

California voted for the approval of recreational marijuana use back in 2016, but the law was put into effect in January of this year. Marijuana has become less and less of a “drug”, with multiple medical benefits and very few dangers, if any. Hopefully Chalice Festival has set a precedent for other festivals, as drug use is already rampant at music festivals anyway.
