Calvin Harris has been teasing us for months now with a return to club music and while “One Kiss” was a strong step in the right direction, it’s an upcoming remix that is about to signal his true return to form. In fact, it’s often that artists experiment with a sound by testing it out first through remixing. “One Kiss” was his first housey single in years, and reminiscent of the early part of his career making house music.
Now, Calvin Harris announced his is releasing a remix of Halsey‘s “Alone” and it’s a certified fresh G-House banger. Just the preview alone is groovy af, and has all the trappings of a poolside Summer anthem. As a blogger who had been tough on Calvin through the difficult Funk Wav Bounces period, this remix and this sound makes Calvin Harris truly exciting to the dance music fan again.
