The 2018 Grammy nominations are here! On Tuesday, November 28th, the Big Four categories – best new artist, record of the year, song of the year, and album of the year – were each announced live. Shortly thereafter, the Recording Academy announced the nominees in the rest of the 84 categories.
‘Something Just Like This’ by The Chainsmokers and Coldplay, as well as ‘Stay’ by Zedd and Alessia Cara have both been nominated for a Grammy in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category. Neither of these artists are new to the Grammy scene. In 2014, Zedd won his first Grammy for Best Dance Recording at the 56th Grammy Awards for ‘Clarity’ featuring Foxes. The Chainsmokers won their first career Grammy for Best Dance Recording for ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ featuring Daya last year at the 59th Grammy Awards. The Chainsmokers were also nominated for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for ‘Closer’ Featuring Halsey last year, but lost to Chance the Rapper and Twenty One Pilots, respectively.

This year, the nominees for the Best Dance Recording include: ‘Bambro Koyo Ganda’ by Bonobo Featuring Innov Gnawa, ‘Cola’ by Camelphat & Elderbrook, ‘Andromeda’ by Gorillaz Featuring DRAM, ‘Tonite’ by LCD Soundsystem, and finally, ‘Line Of Sight’ by Odesza Featuring WYNNE & Mansionair.
The nominees for the Best Dance/Electronic Album include: ‘Migration’ by Bonobo, ‘3-D The Catalogue’ by Kraftwerk, ‘Mura Masa’ by Mura Masa, ‘A Moment Apart’ by Odesza, and finally, ‘What Now’ by Sylvan Esso.
