New Documentary Released On The Relentless Exhaustion of Touring As A DJ Featuring Carl Cox, Luciano And Seth Troxler

Amsterdam Dance Event screened entertainment website DJsounds‘ sophomore documentary this week titled ‘Why We DJ – Slaves To The Rhythm’.

The film explores the detrimental effects that sleepless nights, incessant travel and loneliness have on producers’ overall well-being. Artists Carl Cox, Luciano, Seth Troxler, Erick Morillo, B.Traits, Ben Pearce and Pete Tong are interviewed alongside psychologists for an honest analysis of their restless, yet rewarding lifestyle.

DJsounds’ debut documentary ‘The Underground Sound of Paris‘ premiered Aug. 31, 2016 on their YouTube channel; this film was the first featured in a series of documentaries examining “unique facets of electronic music club culture.”

“It’s a crazy life. I think there’s an expiration date on your own sanity and trying to keep human with being a DJ,” said Troxler.
