Electronic Music Awards will Live Stream on Twitter

Electronic Music AwardsThe Electronic Music Awards (EM Awards) is set to kick off on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at a multi-stage warehouse venue in Los Angeles’ Downtown Arts District. The event will be broadcasted live for the world to participate via Twitter. Live broadcasting starts at 7:47 PM PST. Fans can access the live stream at theemawards.twitter.com.

“We are excited to live stream the first ever Electronic Music Awards globally on Twitter,” said Anthony Noto, Twitter COO. “Twitter is the place people go to see what’s happening in award shows. Now fans, who already turn to Twitter to discuss the latest in electronic music, will be able to watch the live video of the inaugural EMA’s and the related conversation all on the same platform.”

The event will crown winners for eleven different awards. Each celebrates achievements for music artists, creatives, executives, and other contributors. The EM Awards will recognize both up-and-coming and mainstream artists. Executive Producers include three-time GRAMMY nominated producer, DJ Paul Oakenfold and creative entertainment company Hunt & Crest.

A committee comprised of top advisors and executives working in the EDM community will vote on the eleven awards and their winners. Categories, nominations, presenters, performers, and partners are to be announced in the weeks leading up to the awards ceremony. Advertisers will also have an opportunity to participate, whether at the venue or on Twitter’s live stream.
