Metro Boomin Brings Out Drake at EDC

Metro Boomin

The Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas has always been known as a rave bringing the biggest and best talent in electronic dance music. This year, however, Insomniac founder Pasquale Rotella had two interesting hip-hop bookings in the form of Metro Boomin and DJ Khaled.

During Metro Boomin’s Sunday night set at the BassPOD, fans were treated to a guest appearance by one of the biggest names in hip-hop, Drake. Drake came out on stage early on in the set to perform a few cuts from his recent projects, More Life, Views and What A Time To Be Alive.

With EDC becoming as big as it is, it isn’t surprising that major special guests are coming out during popular sets. RL Grime brought out Miguel, Flosstradamus brought out Lil Jon, Jauz brought out G-Eazy and Afrojack brought out Rae Stemmurd.

Metro Boomin is one of the most sought after hip-hop producer after pursuing Drake & Future’s 2015 hit, Jumpman, as well as two of this years biggest songs, Mask Off by Future and Bad & Boujee by Migos & Lil Uzi Vert. The producer brought out Drake to performance a slew of his recent hits including their track, Jumpman, Fake Love, Pop Style and Gyalchester.

Drake took to Instagram following the performance to post a photo of his performing on the LED-clad stage with the caption, “Young Metro 3X brought me to space for a night.” Check out Drake’s post as well as some fan footage of the performance below:
