The trio of Diplo, Jillionaire, and Walshy Fire just released 6 new tracks on their Know No Better EP. After teasing fans on social media of their major collaboration with Travis Scott, Camila Cabello, and Quavo, “Know No Better“, Major Lazer surprised fans this morning with an impressive six track album.
The EP composes a compilation of brand new music consisting of a handful of imposing collaborations. The trio also teamed up with artists such as Sean Paul and J Balvin on “Buscando Huellas” as well as Brazilian duo, Anitta and Pablo Vittar, on “Sua Cara“. In an interview with Newsweek, Diplo stated the following:
“LIKE WE JUST REALLY WANTED TO WORK ON SOME CLUB MUSIC. SUMMER TIME’S ALL ABOUT THAT. IT’S ALWAYS HOT OUTSIDE. WE’VE GOT LIKE THREE MONTHS WHERE THAT’S OUR BASIC IMPACT TIME FOR MAJOR LAZER. GETTING PEOPLE TO DANCE IN THE SUMMER TIME, STUFF LIKE THAT”
Major Lazer definitely released the EP right on time to position themselves to be sounds of the summer. But only time can tell if “Know No Better” will live up to the trio’s monumental hit from 2 years ago, “Lean On“.
